My Design Process
1
User/Player Focus
Not all players are the same, as such, it is important to define the Target Audience, the players who the design is for. When designing any feature, it's important to base concepts and decisions around creating a better experience for them.
2
Conceptualize
While keeping the user in mind, think about features and changes that would likely improve the game and create a stronger, more memorable experience.
3
Documentation
Creating succinct and clear documentation is beneficial for guiding implementation and maintaining clarity on the design.
4
Prototype
Make an initial iteration of the design, based on the previously created concepts & documentation.
5
Test
Determine whether the design achieves what it was intended to do, and ensure that the design doesn't detour from the overall experience in a negative way.
6
Iterate
Based on testing, make changes to the design and to the prototype. If testing shows that the design detracts from the experience, then iteration should be more cautious as to not waste time.
